About The Otherz
Founded by Steve Penny and David Travis, and run by Steve, The Otherz is a community of people who are not afraid to be different and truly be themselves - whether that's expressing themselves through their fashion, music, art, or any other passion.
Steve is originally from Poole in the UK, but has lived in Helsinki, Finland since May 2013. Steve hosts, edits and produces The Otherz Podcast (which partly explains why its’ release schedule is so sporadic!).
David was born and raised (and is still residing) in New York. You may also know him as his alter-ego, King Of Creamz - housing the largest Pharrell-related sneaker collection on the planet, including BBC ICECREAM / Reebok, Nike, Adidas, Timberland, special collections and collaborations, as well as many unreleased projects and samples.
Co-host, Rafa a.k.a Rafael da Cruz a.k.a Rafito Zurc, is a Brazilian illustrator based in Barcelona, Spain, who makes Hypebeast and sneaker-themed prints for a living. In his free time he continues to illustrate, focussing on the worlds of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo a.k.a The Neptunes.
The Otherz Podcast is recorded every couple of weeks (or so), with each episode focussing on a Pharrell-related music video/project, as well discussions around the latest fashion, music, popular culture, and all the latest happenings in The Otherz community.
