About this policy

Repurposer keeps your data on your own device and only shares it with the platforms you choose to post to. This policy explains what the Repurposer app handles, where it goes, and how you stay in control.

Repurposer is an app for Mac and iPhone, made by Stephen Penny ("we", "us"). It lets creators post their own short videos to Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts from one place. This policy applies to the Repurposer app and takes effect on 3 November 2026.

Information the app handles

Everything below is stored only on your device. We do not run servers, so none of it is sent to us.

  • Videos you choose. Repurposer reads the video you pick so it can upload it. It may make a temporary converted copy for Instagram, which is deleted after posting.

  • Post details you write. Captions, @mentions, tagged accounts, collaborators, YouTube titles and descriptions.

  • Your handle list. The Instagram, TikTok and YouTube handles of people you mention, which you confirm and save.

  • Account connections. Access keys that let the app post to your Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts, plus your TikTok display name to show which account is connected.

  • Optional AI keys. If you add an API key for Google Gemini, OpenAI or Anthropic to get YouTube title suggestions.

  • Settings. Choices such as your YouTube channel name and which posting method each platform uses.

Repurposer sends information directly from your device to these services, only when you use the related feature. Each service handles that information under its own privacy policy.

Repurposer only uploads to TikTok as a draft in your TikTok inbox. You review it and choose who can see it before it is posted. Repurposer only accesses the accounts you connect yourself.

How your information is stored and protected

We never receive, sell or share your information, and the app contains no advertising or analytics.

  • Access keys and AI keys are stored in your device's Keychain, Apple's encrypted password storage.

  • Other settings and your handle list are stored in the app's private storage on your device.

  • If you sign in to a platform inside the app's built-in browser, that login is stored on your device in the same way as in Safari.

  • All connections to the services above use encrypted HTTPS.

Deleting your data and your rights

Your information stays on your device until you remove it, and you can remove it at any time.

  • Disconnect an account: use Disconnect or Clear in Repurposer's Settings, or Log Out under Connected Accounts.

  • Revoke access at the platform: remove Repurposer in your TikTok, Meta (Instagram) or Google account settings under connected or authorised apps.

  • Remove everything: delete the Repurposer app from your device.

Because we don't hold your information, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. If you live in the EU or UK, you have rights under data protection law, including access, correction and deletion; contact us with any request or question.

Repurposer is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age for social media accounts where you live).

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page with a new effective date.
